Billy Ray speaks about Miley's new style

MILEY CYRUS- Billy Ray Speaks out

There has been a lot of talk about Miley Cyrus these past weeks as she has been releasing songs from her new single that have changed her image completely from those old "Hannah Montana" days.  Miley has been seen "twerking" and wearing skimpy clothing in her music videos and her actions on the videos have been extremely sexual.
These actions definitely have not gone un noticed; from celebrities commenting on her new look to everyday people watching YouTube- and they are not afraid to tell us how they feel.
Many people criticize Miley because they believe she is going to far with her image and don't want their children to follow her example by thinking it's ok to thrust and dress the way she does in public. Other commenters that support Miley argue that these actions are showing a new style and artistic genius that people just need to not watch if they're not going to understand.
Miley's father came out and spoke on the topic saying that "Miley has risen to a whole new level" explaining that this is her passion and "passion is either love or hate, there is no middle grounds." All in all- Billy Ray Cyrus is proud of his daughters accomplishments no matter the scrutiny the public gives because she is happy and succeeding in her career.

My opinion on Miley's new videos and music is very similar to her Father's. I believe if people don't like Miley's new style then they should simply stay away from it. Miley is obviously creating her own version of sharing her music and it is most likely not going to change whether people like it or not. Although her work seems quite controversial she always has ton's of fans and supporters who go with the flow of her change, which makes the haters just seem ignorant or annoying when reading their comments.
There are many music styles and musicians that I do not like, therefore I stay away from their pages or change the station when they come on.
ITS NO BIG DEAL!

  1. There have been numerous articles and comments about Miley's behavior. While not everyone will agree with what she is doing it's nice to see that her dad is finding a way to handle it and not just right her off. Hopefully in time she will settle down and not take a turn like Spears and Lohan. I also think that while she may be a role model or was, parents need to be confident in themselves that they have taught their kids wrong from right. There is no way to completely control the media kids are seeing so it is crucial that parents find a way to adapt.

  2. I find it interesting how her parents take all of her "media controversies". I understand how she wants to grow up and get away from Disney, but at the same time Disney is what made her. She still has younger fans from her Hannah Montana days so, I feel like she needs to calm down a bit. However, like Paige said, hopefully she'll grow out of it!

  3. I think the reason people care so much about Miley's new look is because she was once a Disney star as Hannah Montana and when the public sees Miley, they see her as a Disney character and not as a young adult in the prime of their life trying to make a new name for herself. People would have no problem with Miley's actions had she not been on Disney as a child. Yes Miley had younger fans, but most of those fans have grown up with Miley and are young adults themselves. Miley is just trying to branch away from the childish Disney star rep she once had so she can be herself.

  4. What people don't realize is that no matter who agrees or disagrees with what Miley is doing, what she is REALLY doing is making herself more famous! Thank you for acknowledging the fact that the haters can simply stay away if they do not like the "new" Miley. She's doing a fantastic job staying in the spotlight, because you know what they say, "any publicity is good publicity." At least she's not a falling star!
