Google switches the role

Google is one of the biggest search engines people use to find their information. It can be used to find a range of things from research articles all the way to the closest restaurants.  Well Google has something up their sleeve and I'm not sure everyone will like it.

Google announced that they will be soon selling users' endorsements. By this, I mean that Google will be using people's names, photos, comments and rating in their ads marketed across the web. With social advertising being a $9.5 billion business, it seems like Google is going down the right path on coming up with an idea that will in turn make them money.

I'm not sure that their idea will pan out the way they want it to though. As the article at the bottom states, not to many people are comfortable with their personal information being put out to billions of people. Especially, when it is displayed in ways that weren't the original intention of the author. The rising of apps like snapchat, because of its ability to share information then quickly have it deleted in a short matter of time; shows that people want more control of what others can see.
