Is this taking social media to far? For them to assume they can make a timeline based on what they believe has occurred in your life? What is they make a mistake and misjudge you would you be upset?
I think the concept is good but could turn to be disastrous if it doesn't work perfectly for every person no one wants their life to be made into a timeline but have it not be accurate. I think I would be upset if I went to test this out when they release it and it wasn't accurate and it portrayed events in my life as negative or inaccurate.

I agree with you. This seems like a really cool feature and it would be interesting to see what the results of this timeline would be based on the tweets I've made, but I'd also feel upset if they got something wrong. I wouldn't like it if they misinterpreted my tweets to a different meaning or changed the way things actually occurred.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if their was a way you could edit the information once it was released and change what is not correct, it would be a better and more successful tool.
Very cool idea but I agree with both you and Ms. Coon about the risk of being misrepresented. This really makes me think about my older tweets I made back when I was first on Twitter and how they might represent who I am. I also agree with Ms. Coon's point about editing the information after it comes out. It seems like a good way to make sure no one is misrepresented.
